The Dallas Mavericks (11-17) swing through the northeast for a one-game stop, this time against the Philadelphia 76ers (15-11). Dallas is coming off an awesome overtime win against the Detroit Pistons
on Thursday. The Sixers, winners of four of their last five, played and beat the Knicks on Friday night.
Here’s the main things you need to know before the game kicks off.
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks at Philadelphia 76ers
- WHAT: Another game against one of the East’s best teams
- WHERE: Xfinity Mobile Arena, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- WHEN: 6:00 p.m. CST
- HOW: KFAA Channel 29, MavsTV streaming, NBA League Pass
Dallas seems to be finally pulling out of their recent spat with illness. Anthony Davis is listed as probable; he gutted out last game despite feeling horrible. Klay Thompson is listed as questionable. Of course, Dante Exum, Kyrie Irving, and Dereck Lively are out (Lively is in London getting his foot operation). For the Sixers, Joel Embiid is doubtful, Paul George is out, as is Kelly Oubre and Trendon Watford.
Despite these injuries, the Sixers are playing excellent basketball as of late. Tyrese Maxey is third in the league in scoring and VJ Edgecombe looks like a superstar in the making. Dallas has been very good at controling the paint as of late, but the Sixers don’t score there that much anyway. Dallas will need to control the glass and limit turnovers and hey should have a good chance of walking away with this one.
Remember it’s an early start time. Which also means early finish so you can do something else with your Saturday. Thanks for hanging out with us.
Consider joining Josh and I on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start around 10:15 pm. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
