The Huskers are back home this weekend and take on their first ranked opponent in Devaney on Friday as they take on the Baylor Bears at 7:00pm.

NCAA Tournament: Made it to the second round where they lost to Purdue
Nebraska and Baylor have met 32 times and the Huskers have never lost a game to the Bears. The last time these two teams met up, was April 18, 2021 (during the COVID season) and the Husker won in a 3-0 sweep.
Baylor (4-1) suffered it’s first
loss of the season last weekend to #17 Florida. They have defeated San Diego, Hawaii, Georgia Southern, and North Texas.
The Bears are a young team led by sophomore outside hitter, Ksenia Rakhmanchik. In 2025 she was named First Team All-Big 12, All-Big 12 Rookie Team, and AVCA All-Region First Team as a freshman. This season Rkhmanchik has 75 kills, hitting double digits in every match.
Defensively, Baylor is led by sophomore libero, Morgan Madison and senior middle blocker, Victoria Davis. Madison was the Baylor Freshman Record holder for with 396 last season. She has 72 digs so far in 2026. Davis leads the Bears with 21 blocks.
Baylor runs a 6-2 offense with senior Harley Greek and sophomore Isabela Haggard. Greek is the returning started averaging nine assits per set, and had 30 aces last season. Haggard is a transfer from Marquette where she earned Big East Co-Freshman of the Year honors last season. She leads the team with 6.44 assists per set.
