It took Marcio Barbosa just a minute and twenty seconds to headhunt Dennis Buzukja at UFC Winnipeg, knocking out his opponent in the first round.
That’s Barbosa’s fifth first round knockout in a row, which tells us that the Brazilian fighter may just be someone to keep a close eye on. “Ticoto” came into the UFC off a violent Contender Series win in August 2025, and here’s hoping he returns to the cage sooner rather than later considering how fast this fight was.
$100,000 performance bonus incoming?
As for Dennis Buzukja, he drops to 12-6 and 1-4 in the UFC. After getting two chances on the Contender Series to get into the UFC, his time in the big leagues may be up.
