According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is determined to ink Michael Olise to a contract by any means necessary:
Bayern would like to extend Michael Olise’s contract until 2031 by autumn at the latest and are preparing a big offer to keep the Frenchman. The club would be willing to offer Olise around €25m gross per year, which is around double his current salary, making him a top earner alongside Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala.
In addition, there’d be a big signing
bonus that would roughly be in the region of the €22m Bayern paid Alphonso Davies when he signed a new deal. In principle, the supervisory board would like to keep such costs down – but they’re aware that in order to keep a highly coveted superstar like Olise, they have to dig deep into their pockets.
Keeping Olise through 2031 would be a tremendous boost to the Bavarians. However, it remains to be seen if the proposed numbers will be enough to convince Olise to ink a new deal. While that is a significant sum listed by Bild, Olise’s price will only continue to skyrocket. No doubt, other clubs are already willing to beat those figures.
For Bayern Munich, the sooner a deal can get done, the better, so expect the Bavarians to push for a contract extension as soon as Olise is ready to talk.
