Summary: In the past few years it seems like calling a wideout a “gadget” receiver has somehow turned into a derogatory term, almost as if they could only do one or two things well that wasn’t good enough to meet the standard. Not to throw out the baseball analogy here in the middle of the countdown but not every “All-Star” is a five tool player. Being able to do one or two things very well is often
sufficient enough to have you playing at the next level, and “Quiz” may be one of those guys.
The Boyle County stud went to the dark side (Kentucky) out of high school, but as it goes with most freshman didn’t get a ton of opportunity out of the gate and realized Lexington wasn’t his dream city. With the utter demise of the program happening right before his eyes and movement of some other athletes to the Red & Black, Montavin saw the chance to play in a high powered offense, that would be competing for Playoff spots this season and made the leap. Rumors were that Quiz was a target not just in the wideout room but also would have a chance as a return specialists due to his speed and elusiveness. Before the hype could get cranked up, we were told in late April that Quiz had a lower body injury and is likely to miss all of 2026. A disappointment for sure as it relates to this year, but keep the name Quisenberry tucked away in your memory banks because ‘Q’ has multiple seasons of eligibility left, and I think we’ll be hearing it often at Cardinal Stadium in the future.
