The SEC announced Monday that Arkansas at No. 23 Texas A&M will kickoff at 6:00 p.m. and air on either ESPN or ESPN2 on Saturday, Oct. 3. The TV designation will be determined after Sat., Sept. 26’s action.
The Hogs and Aggies renew their Southwest Classic rivalry for the 83rd time, doing so at Kyle Field for the first time since 2020. As previously announced, this is also the game A&M will don their military camo uniforms as part of the university’s 150th anniversary celebration.
This is certainly a game that doesn’t care about the records of each side. The Razorbacks and Aggies have played 14 times since 2012, with nine of those games being decided by 10 points or fewer. Texas A&M has won 13 of the 14 contests, including a 45-42 victory in Fayetteville, Ark., last season. After 10 years of playing at AT&T Stadium in Arlington (excluding an exception in 2020), the two teams mutually agreed to return the long-time series to home stadiums, trading off every season.
Before they battle each other, Arkansas takes on Tulsa at home (6:30 p.m., SECN+), while the Aggies trek to Baton Rouge for a top-25 showdown against No. 10 LSU (6:30 p.m., ABC).
