Well, that escalated quickly!
Two key members of the Eagles offensive line that won a Super Bowl just two years ago are leaving Philadelphia within a day of each other. Less than 24 hours after Lane Johnson announced his retirement from the NFL, the Eagles decided to trade Cam Jurgens to the Ravens
— in a move that gives Howie Roseman another 2nd round pick in 2028 to work with. The move is considered more surprising given the haul the Eagles were able to get. Jurgens gave this team everything he had
on their way to winning a Super Bowl, but he’s struggled to return to form in the 18 months since. Being moved to left guard two weeks ago didn’t help things, and it looked like his role in the offense was continuing to change.
Sending Jurgens to Baltimore will allow him to get back to playing center and will give the Eagles another opportunity to revamp their historically consistent offensive line.
