Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has been experimenting with exciting youngster Ebrima Tunkara in training and has been using the 16-year-old as a false nine.
According to Diario Sport, Flick has tested out Tunkara in the role during pre-season training with the first team and in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Europa. Tunkara scored in that game which resulted in a 4-1 win for Barca.
Tunkara has played in midfield and on the right wing for Juvenil A but it seems Flick is keen to see him in a different
role, particularly after the departure of Robert Lewandowski and with Ferran Torres heading for PSG.
The 16-year-old certainly seems to be impressing Flick in pre-season, with the Barca boss praising him during the recent training camp in England and describing Tunkara as a “great talent.”
Tunkara is seen as one of the brightest talents coming through the ranks at Barca at present, and it looks like Flick is already trying to find out where his best position might be for the Catalan giants.
