A day after the Buffalo Bills’ embarrassing loss to the now 3–7 Miami Dolphins, questions arose again around the future of head coach Sean McDermott’s coaching staff; particularly offensive coordinator
Joe Brady.
When asked on Monday if he remained committed to Brady for the rest of the season, McDermott’s answer was clear and direct: “Yes.”
Reporters also pressed McDermott on whether there were any plans to bring back former Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, who was recently dismissed as head coach of the New York Giants. McDermott shut that speculation down quickly, saying, “It’s not under any type of consideration at this time.”
Brady, for his part, took accountability during his own media session, acknowledging that the offense must improve. “At the end of the day, when we played like we played, I have to do better,” Brady said.
While frustration continues to mount among fans, McDermott’s decision does signal stability; at least for now. The Bills’ path forward will depend on whether Brady and the offense can rediscover the rhythm and explosiveness that once defined quarterback Josh Allen and the everybody eats philosophy that Brady brought to life while doubling down on Allen not needing a true WR1. With the season’s margin for error shrinking fast, improvement must come quickly if Buffalo hopes to keep its postseason hopes alive.
