College Performance: Capehart arrived at Clemson with plenty of hype as a 5 star recruit, but never quite lived up to the expectations of a defensive lineman at Clemson. He struggled to show the consistency expected of a 5 star recruit. When Capehart was on he was an absolute dominant force. His combination of size and speed made him difficult if not impossible
to contain. Unfortunately Capehart never quite put it together, even as a 6th year senior.
NFL Projections: The best case for Capehart is he arrives in the NFL and everything manages to click. Either from the right coach or the right scheme. But the most likely ceiling is Capehart manages to be a role player on the right team. He appears to be a mid-late round pick depending on your preference of mock draft. The good thing for Capehart is plenty of guys forge long careers as depth guys on the DL, and his versatility should give teams a reason to keep him around even if he needs some development.
