it all with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
- WrestleVotes Radio says there have been internal talks in WWE about Joe Hendry having a regular presence on SmackDown now that the show is expanding to three hours. It sounds like the USA Network wants Hendry on the show, and that is a factor in WWE’s decision-making.
- Multiple sources told Post Wrestling that WWE’s Backlash PLE will return to Puerto Rico in 2026. One source with “access to an internal calendar” indicates the event will take place on May 9 in San Juan. Bad Bunny’s return to WWE for that event is not confirmed, but it looks like he’s available based on his tour dates for next year.
- Votes mentioned that WWE is considering an expanded travel schedule for NXT in 2026, in order to give the wrestlers more experience working in front of different audiences and environments.
- People in WWE are divided on whether or not to sign Danhausen after his AEW contract expires in early 2026, per Votes. Some people think he would do very well as a member of the NXT roster.
- Now that he’s booked in a match at tonight’s AEW Worlds End pay-per-view, there has been some speculation that Darby Allin’s recent injury in the Continental Classic was a work. F4WOnline’s Bryan Alvarez says that’s not the case: “I can tell you 100 percent, from multiple sources, this absolutely was not a worked injury. He got a really, really serious concussion.”
- For whatever it’s worth, Alvarez thinks MJF will win the AEW world championship at Worlds End, and then fight Bandido with both the title and the Dynamite Diamond Ring on the line at Maximum Carnage in January.
