Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany explained why neither he,nor the club will make a habit of providing regular public updates on Jamal Musiala’s condition going forward.
Kompany emphasized that Musiala is receiving the best possible medical support, while also highlighting the importance of Musiala’s own communication throughout his recovery. Rather than providing constant updates, the club will focus on making the right decisions for the player and his ability to perform.
“I won’t always give
regular updates on his condition in the future. We always have the very best experts helping us. Jamal also communicates very well about it. We’ll make the right decision in a sporting sense. He needs to be able to play and perform properly. He’s got no problems there. If it were to then happen again, it’s not a big alarm for us anymore,” Kompany said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Kompany’s comments suggest Bayern Munich are taking a measured approach with Musiala. The priority is not simply getting him back onto the pitch, but making sure he is capable of playing and performing at the level expected of him.
The message from Bayern Munich appears clear: Musiala’s recovery will be handled by the club’s medical experts, with the player closely involved in the process, and not every development will necessarily be made public.
