Bayern Munich and Michael Olise are tied together until 2029. But, what happens beyond that is yet to be finalized. The Bavarians have placed Olise in a special category of players who cannot be bought regardless of any massive transfer offer.
According to a report by Sport Bild’s Julian Agardi and Christian Falk, Bayern are in no apparent rush to sign the winger on a new contract that would secure him to the club beyond 2029. The time window until the summer is when Olise is expected to make a decision

Harry Kane’s extension is the priority for the club at the moment since his contract expires in the summer. Signing the best striker in the game right now also adds leverage while discussing the Bayern project with Olise. The established chemistry. the accolades gathered and the sheer appetite to rinse and repeat UCL winning runs is always a tempting prospect for any player.
Having said all of that, Bayern had to publicly show their hand. When the rumor mill kept churning out “news” that Olise will be leaving to Real Madrid, Liverpool, etc., Bayern had to take a stand on their player and set boundaries regarding their talent. It is to be noted that Bild also linked Olise away from Bayern.
The Bavarians have clearly establishing their leverage in his contract. They have repeatedly stated that Olise neither has a release clause nor is up for sale for any sum of money. Now, the ideal move after the public drama is to extend him at the earliest possible. Allowing a whole season to get by is a double edged sword. It signals confidence in the club’s project but, it also allows room for him to take a look at what else might be out there for him.
