There’s another name to add to the list of players Kentucky Basketball has expressed interest in from the transfer portal.
Jason Rivera-Torres has reportedly received interest from several schools following a solid season at Monmouth, where he was named All-CAA Second Team.
The 6-7 forward averaged 15.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 2.1 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game for Monmouth this past season.
Rivera-Torres started his college career at Vanderbilt in 2023-24, when he averaged 6.4 points and 3.1
rebounds in 29 games for the Commodores, while averaging about 15 minutes per game. He then transferred to San Francisco, where he saw his playing time decrease, and then landed at Monmouth. Now, Rivera-Torres will be looking for his fourth school in four years.
It’s unknown what Kentucky’s level of interest here is. With so many schools on this list, this could be as simple as a call to check in, but it could be worth keeping an eye on.
Below are some highlights of Rivera-Torres from his time at Vanderbilt.
