The Kansas City Chiefs have now made four selections in the 2026 NFL Draft!
The Chiefs took Oregon cornerback Jadon Canady with pick No. 109 in the second round. We have insta-grades from three members of the Arrowhead Pride Draft Team.

The Chiefs continued the trend of adding defensive talent by drafting Canady as the second cornerback of the class.
Although undersized, Canady is a versatile player with experience at corner and safety, and could come in and play as the Chiefs’ starting slot corner right
away.
With over 40 career starts, he stuffed the stat books at Oregon, and finished 2025 with six passes defended and two interceptions. He has the versatility and instincts that Steve Spagnuolo covets in cornerbacks, and given Brett Veach’s history of drafting day three defensive backs, this pick could be a home run.

Rocky Magana
Canady is a long, tall press-man corner with good ball skills who is not afraid to be put on an island. He does struggle to wrap up at times and does not offer a ton in run support, which, to get on the field for this team, he will have to commit to.
This is the sort of defensive back we are accustomed to general manager Brett Veach taking on Day 3 and turning into a legitimate starter.
Yet, I have to wonder at what point the Chiefs will decide to address their other needs on the team, or if the front office views them as needs at all.
Still, for a Day 3 pick, Canady is a great value.
Grade: B+
