TCU sophomore guard Taliyah Parker, who played in 18 games during the team’s run to the Elite Eight, will reportedly enter the transfer portal after only one season with the Horned Frogs. Parker, who played her first year of college basketball at Texas A&M before moving on to TCU, played sparingly off the bench and posted averages of 1.4 points and 1.6 rebounds per game for the Horned Frogs. At Texas A&M, Parker averaged 5.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals across 18 minutes per game. Parker will have
two years remaining.
Parker was ranked the No. 60 overall prospect of the 2024 class before signing with Texas A&M. The 6-foot-1 guard didn’t carve out a significant role with the Horned Frogs, averaging fewer than six minutes per game and scoring just 25 points for the season. Regardless, Parker’s transfer continues the reconstruction of TCU’s roster, which will lose several seniors and graduate students including All-Big 12 selections Olivia Miles and Marta Suarez along with Maddie Scherr, Natalie Mazurek, Taylor Bigby, Kennedy Basham and Veronica Sheffey.
Parker is the fourth TCU player to transfer out, joining junior guard Donovyn Hunter, freshman center Emily Hunter and senior forward Aaliyah Roberson. Sophomore center Clara Silva projects to be the only returning starter for the Horned Frogs next season. Moreover, freshman guard Clara Bielefeld and 6-foot-8 center Sarah Portlock are the only other players on the 2025-26 roster who haven’t declared for the transfer portal.
