Barcelona Atletic have been left sweating on the fitness of young defender Patricio Pacifico after he was forced off with an injury during Sunday’s draw with Olot.
Pacifico appeared to sustain a knee problem and had to be helped from the pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva.
The fear is that he’s
suffered ligament damage which will keep him out for some time. He’s now due to undergo tests at the club to determine the severity of the problem, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Pacifico has been making an impact with Barca Atletic since joining the club in the winter transfer window, with speculation claiming the Catalans had already agreed to sign him on a permanent basis.
Juliano Belletti’s side will now be hoping that the injury is not as serious as currently feared and that he’s not set for a lengthy spell out of the game which could also potentially affect his chances of staying on at Barcelona.
