The Kentucky Wildcats have their first confirmed transfer portal visitor, and it’s a big one.
According to Dushawn London of 247 Sports, Kentucky will host Washington Huskies point guard Zoom Diallo for a visit this weekend. It’s the first reported visit Diallo will take, as well as the first transfer prospect that Mark Pope and his staff will meet with in person.
The 6-4, 180-pound Diallo was originally the 42nd-ranked recruit in the class of 2024 out of Prolific Prep in California, according to 247
Sports. He’s now the 24th-best player in the transfer portal, according to 247 Sports’ rankings, which also have him as the eighth-best point guard.
As a true sophomore this past season, he averaged 15.7 points on 48.9% shooting (31.5% on 3s), 4.5 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game.
Kentucky is also heavily pursuing BYU point guard Rob Wright, but it’s unclear when/if he’ll start taking visits.
