The UFC’s upcoming White House card is already undergoing some changes.
While the hyped fight card has always been expected to take place on July 4, 2026 (which is a Saturday), The Wall Street Journal released some new details on Friday that suggest the historic event will actually be held in June of next year.
This would directly contradict what UFC CEO, Dana White, already has planned.
However, President of the United States Donald Trump and the first lady are ultimately in charge. If they are granting
UFC access to host an event on the White House lawn in June instead of July then the promotion has to take it. After all, it’s expected to be one of the biggest combat spectacles of all time.
In addition, the report also reveals that fighters will warm up for their fights in the actual White House before making the walk to the Octagon, which will be constructed on the South Lawn. Another cool tidbit is that pre-fight weigh ins are expected to be held at the Lincoln Memorial, which should make for one of the coldest staredown backgrounds ever. The entire week will feature fireworks and light shows as well.
The exciting fight card is still a work in progress, but some of the top stars in the sport have already reached out for a chance to join the festivities. This includes Conor McGregor, Jon Jones, Michael Chandler, Colby Covington, and more.
