The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have been in playoff football mode since it started the season with two straight losses to the Miami Hurricanes and Texas A&M Aggies. While there are some that thought this
would mean the Irish were basically out of the college football playoff race, they were wrong (obviously).
To prove the naysayers wrong, the Irish are going to have to manhandle the rest of its schedule — which is code for beating the spread. Because Notre Dame’s remaining schedule doesn’t include a ranked team, the spread is all voters really have to gauge how good this Notre Dame Football team actually is this season.
According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Notre Dame is a 22.5 point favorites over the NC State Wolfpack with an over/under of 62.5.
NC State is coming off of a blowout win over the Campbell Camels and has wins this season over the East Carolina Pirates, Virginia Cavaliers, and Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Before the win over Campbell, NC State was on a two game losing streak with losses to the Duke Blue Devils and Virginia Tech Hokies.
