German national team head coach Jürgen Klopp wants to win — there is no denying it.
However, the former Mainz 05, Borussia Dortmund, and Liverpool boss knows better than to promise anything.
“I won’t promise anything. What I can promise is that we will definitely give it a try. There’s an impression that we have less quality than other countries. When things aren’t working, you take a closer look and try to bring about changes. That’s what we’re working on now,” said Klopp (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
“We want to be so involved in every game so we have a good chance of winning it. We need to adapt our football a little bit, we need to be quicker and make some adjustments. We’ve started doing that. Let’s see what will happens (Thursday) hopefully we’ll see it.”
Internally, Klopp might have lofty expectations, but he will likely never reveal them or boast about the potential of this group. Germany is coming from a low place and even with the expertise of Klopp in-hand, there are no guarantees in football.
