LSU Soccer announces 2026 Schedule

We now know when the 2026-27 LSU athletics season begins.

On Monday, LSU released their 2026 soccer schedule. The Tigers will play 18 regular season games after playing two exhibitions in early August. The first exhibition will be at home on August 5th against Alabama, and the first regular-season game will be August 12th at Wake Forest. The Tigers are coming off the most successful season in program history after making the third round of the 2025 NCAA tournament. LSU plays nine regular-season home games.

LSU opens with an exhibition against Alabama, a team they avoid in the SEC slate, on August 5^th at the LSU Soccer Stadium. On August 8^th, LSU will be on the road to face UNC Wilmington in their final exhibition game. August 12^th, LSU opens the season against Wake Forest for the second straight year. The Demon Deacons made the second round of the 2025 NCAA tournament. After that, LSU returns home for three straight homes games in seven days. August 16^th sees the Tigers host Northwestern State, August 20^th sees the Tigers host UCF, and August 23^rd sees the Tigers host FGCU. UCF made the second round of the 2025 tournament.

Following that, LSU goes out to the desert for two games. On August 27^th, they play Arizona State, and on August 30^th, they play Arizona. LSU returns home for a game against Baylor, another team who made the third round in 2025, on September 3^rd. LSU closes non-conference play on September 6^th at Miami (OH).

In conference play, LSU avoids Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. They don’t play any 2025 NCAA tournament teams on the road, but they play all their home games against 2025 tournament teams. The Tigers host Tennessee on September 11^th to open conference play; then they host South Carolina exactly one week later. On September 24^th, LSU travels to Norman to face Oklahoma.

On September 27^th, the Tigers host Georgia before traveling to face Florida on October 2^nd. October 9^th is the penultimate home game as LSU hosts Arkansas. The Tigers take to Texas for their next two games, an October 15^th game at Texas and an October 18^th game at Texas A&M.

LSU’s senior game will be October 25^th against Mississippi State, and LSU’s final regular season game will be November 1^st at Missouri. The 2026 SEC Soccer Tournament is in Pensacola once again and runs November 8-15. The 2026 selection show will be on November 16^th, and if LSU qualifies, their opening round game will be the weekend of November 20-22.
