The Ravens entered Week 5 without Lamar Jackson against a red-hot Falcons team and left with their most impressive win of the Jesse Minter era. There were plenty of winners in this one, while one player stood out as the biggest loser.
Winners
QB Tyler Huntley: Huntley showed once again why Baltimore has complete faith in him as Jackson’s backup. He finished with 24 completions on 32 attempts for 201 yards and two touchdowns, with 20 yards rushing and the game-winning score on a quarterback sneak. Huntley was
particularly impressive on the final drive of regulation to tie the game on a back-shoulder touchdown pass to Devontez Walker.
RB Derrick Henry: Everyone knew it would be a heavy Henry game without Jackson under center, and that is exactly what transpired. Henry rushed for 102 yards on 24 carries while scoring on an 18-yard reception. He also found the end zone on the two-point conversion to tie the game. Henry did not have a run longer than 11 yards, but he was able to grind out the tough yards and wear down Atlanta’s defense in overtime.
Offensive line: The Ravens’ offensive line paved the way for 208 total rushing yards, utterly bullying the Falcons’ front at times. Rookie first-rounder Vega Ioane continues to look like a budding star wherever he plays on the interior, allowing zero pressures against Atlanta, per Pro Football Focus.
WR Rashod Bateman: Bateman made multiple key plays to keep the offense moving against the Falcons, including three catches for 38 yards on the final game-tying drive of regulation. His 62 receiving yards (on five receptions) led the team for the second time this year after zero instances in 2025.
WR Zay Flowers: While Flowers didn’t set off the fireworks we’ve come to expect this year, he still made several important plays throughout the game, finishing with 53 receiving yards on eight catches, plus one carry for 13 yards. He also lost 26 yards from his statline when the Ravens also opted to take a defensive pass interference penalty he drew to save an extra few seconds on the clock. Declan Doyle has fully unlocked the fourth-year receiver, and his numbers should jump back up once Jackson returns to the lineup.
WR Devontez Walker: Walker had just two catches against Atlanta, but his second could not have come at a better time as Huntley connected with him on a back shoulder throw in the end zone on the game-tying drive.
RB Justice Hill: Hill started the game on the wrong foot with a drop on the opening drive, but followed up with a 21-yard run on the next play to convert on third down. Hill broke off another long run later in the game with a 47-yard gain on another third down. He finished the game with 73 rushing yards on just four carries.
S Kyle Hamilton: Hamilton shows up every week for Baltimore’s defense, and he made the biggest play of the day on Sunday. After marching down the field and scoring a touchdown to start overtime, the Ravens’ defense needed a stop against backup quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to win the game. After a 20-yard pass to Drake London, Tagovailoa again went to his superstar wide receiver, but Hamilton was waiting underneath this time to secure the game-sealing pick near midfield. He finished the game with six total tackles as well as two pressures, according to PFF.
S Malaki Starks: Starks has begun to stack strong performances after a rocky start to his sophomore season. The former first-round pick had perhaps his best game of the season against the Falcons in Week 5. Starks made several critical tackles against Bijan Robinson, including one that saved a touchdown when he was one-on-one with the ultra-elusive back. Starks led the defense with 10 total tackles, including two tackles for loss. His 70.0 coverage grade was also the second-highest the team, according to PFF.
OLB Mike Green: Green is another second-year player who has hit a groove in recent weeks. Without Trey Hendrickson on the field in the last two weeks, Green has stepped up on the edge, both as a pass rusher and against the run. Green had three pressures against Atlanta, according to PFF, to go with a sack. Green’s quick third-down pressure on quarterback Michael Penix forced a throwaway on the Falcons’ final drive of the game, keeping them from winning in regulation with a field goal.
OLB Tavius Robinson: Just two plays earlier on Atlanta’s final drive in regulation, it was Robinson who nailed Penix for a sack on first down, causing a fumble and injuring the third-year quarterback. This led to Tagovailoa taking over in overtime and serving up Hamilton’s game-ending pick.
DT Nnamdi Madubuike: Madubuike looks more and more like his old self with every week that passes. He was effective on Sunday as a pass rusher with three pressures and against the run with two stops, according to PFF. Madubuike, Hendrickson, and Green should form a formidable trio of pass rushers once all three are on the field together again.
K Tyler Loop: Loop was perfect against the Falcons, converting all three field goals including two from 51 yards. Loop kept the Ravens in the game until the offense was finally able to reach the end zone in the third quarter. Loop has now missed just two kicks through five weeks, with one being blocked.
Losers:
TE Mark Andrews: It’s never fun to point out the negatives during such a feel-good win, but if there was one glaring problem in this game, it was Andrews. The veteran tight end dropped a touchdown on the opening drive of the game and followed that up with a fumble on the next drive that Atlanta recovered and took the other way for a score to go up 7-3. Andrews later failed to secure the catch on a two-point attempt, leaving Baltimore down 17-15 in the third quarter. Andrews then let another pass hit the ground on third down while the Ravens trailed 20-15 with just over six minutes remaining in regulation, forcing a punt to give the Falcons the chance to put the game away. Andrews ended up making several catches on the last two drives of the game to finish with 28 yards, but his blunders were a primary reason that the Ravens were scrambling in the second half.
Third-down defense: The Ravens have struggled to get off the field on third down all season, and that was once again a major issue on Sunday, allowing nine conversions on 17 third downs. London in particular gave Baltimore’s defense issues on third down and long. The inability to make third-down stops sullied what was otherwise a strong defensive outing by the Ravens.
