Bayern Munich and striker Harry Kane have left it late on the topic of his contract extension. Since signing from Tottenham Hotspur three summers ago, Kane has been nothing less than prolific. And while his initial four-year contract is already set to expire next summer, both player and club have repeatedly emphasized how pleased they have been with the current arrangement.
“Talks are going well. I’ve been quite open and honest about that,” Kane affirmed in comments captured by @iMiaSanMia. “We are still
in talks now and I think they are progressing in the right way. Both sides have been very relaxed about it. Everyone can see I am happy there, the way I’m performing, the way I talk off the pitch. I think it is just open and honest. I am hoping something gets done.”
As for the timeline, Kane has indicated that it is likely to be a matter of weeks.
“Over the next month or so there should be some sort of decision and I think it will be a positive one,” the England captain added.
