The Las Vegas Raiders added Tom Brady to the ownership team back in late 2024. While the first year with Brady at the organization didn’t pan out, they were able to grab the first overall pick and draft Fernando Mendoza.
Even with him as a minority owner of the Silver and Black, he has maintained his job in the booth with Fox Sports. It allows the seven-time Super Bowl champion to examine how the NFL game is developing. One issue Brady has with the NFL is the extensive fines for NFL players. On his Stick
to Football podcast, he spilled his thoughts on the hefty fines from the league.
“What they start doing is they start fining you $50,000, $75,000. And I’m saying, like, I hate that. I hate the fact that, like, you sign a contract for $2 million a year, $5 million a year, and it’s so easy for someone to say, ‘Give me $75,000. Give me $50,000. Oh, it’s your second offense? That’s $100,000. That’s your third offense, $200,000.’
It is true that the fines in the modern NFL have become extremely high. Especially with the NFL cracking down on bigger hits on offense and defense, even when the referee didn’t throw a flag. The system isn’t changing anytime soon and will continue to be an annoyance for Brady.
