Priscilla Kelly, better known to WWE fans as Gigi Dolin, has dropped out of an wrestling event in Israel following a wave of online backlash.
On Sunday, Kelly posted on X that she was “going to Israel”
following an announcement earlier in the day from Israeli Pro Wrestling Association (IPWA) that the wrestler would appear at its Passover Bash on April 6.
Kelly’s announcement resulted in a swift inundation of angry social media comments referencing Israel’s war in Gaza.
Soon, Kelly reversed course, pulled out of the IPWA show, and released a statement with an apology.
“I have made the decision to not travel to Israel for the show that was announced earlier,” Kelly wrote in the statement posted on her X (Twitter) and Instagram accounts. “My intention was never to make a political statement, but to entertain those who were not tied to horrific humanitarian crisis, I do not want to be a part of this any further or give the idea that I condone the actions of the government in any way. I apologize for any harm this may have caused.”
Kelly, who was featured prominently on NXT television during her run as a member of Toxic Attraction and won tag team gold multiple times before her release in May 2025, later deactivated her social media accounts because of what she characterized as “violent” messages.
“Due to an influx of violent messages, I’ll be taking some time away from social media,” she said in a statement posted online before she switched off her accounts. “This is about safety and well-being. I appreciate the support and understanding.”
The official Instagram account for IPWA shared a screenshot of Kelly’s initial statement announcing that she was dropping out of the Passover Bash. According to an English translation from Instagram of the IPWA’s caption, the author of the IPWA was not mad at Priscilla but faulted her agent for not giving her proper information.
“She did nothing wrong. And I truly regret that her social accounts were taken down,” the translated IPWA post said, before adding the Passover Bash is still taking place as planned.
