FOX’s Jay Glazer is reporting that the Green Bay Packers right tackle Zach Tom (knee/back) is expected to miss today’s game against the Chicago Bears, one that will likely decide the fate of the NFC North.
Tom dropped out of last week’s game with a knee injury and didn’t return to action against the Denver Broncos. This week, Tom was listed as a non-participant in practice and was listed as questionable by the team on their final injury report .
Tom’s replacement on Sunday was Darian Kinnard, who is now dealing with a neck injury of his own. Kinnard was also listed as questionable on Friday after being a limited participant this week. If Kinnard can’t go, the starter will probably be Jordan Morgan, who received split reps at the position this week with Kinnard.
Glazer also added that both running back Josh Jacobs (knee) and receiver Christian Watson (shoulder/chest) are going to work out pre-game and will attempt to be on the field for the Packers. He also noted that safety Evan Williams, also listed as questionable, will likely miss the game. Williams was replaced by Zayne Anderson last week after going down with an MCL sprain on the same play that defensive end Micah Parsons tore his ACL.
Previously, the Packers had already ruled out right end Josh Whyle with a concussion, but the team hasn’t backfilled with a practice squad tight end elevation. The remaining players who are questionable going into the game are running back Chris Brooks (chest), receiver Dontayvion Wicks (ankle), defensive end Kingsley Enagbare (illness) and defensive end Brenton Cox Jr. (groin).
