Former Barcelona striker Thierry Henry says the team need to sign a top class number 9 and feels the Catalans have wasted too many chances this season.
Hansi Flick’s side have been tipped to spend big on a striker this summer, if finances allow, and Henry is in no doubt that Barcelona need to get a top-class star.
“Barcelona need a real number 9. A top-level striker. I am referring to formidable scorers such as Victor Osimhen, Erling Haaland or Harry Kane. Proven finishers, not prospects,” he explained,

“When you have a talent like Lamine Yamal, who makes passes like that, you have to score. It’s simple. At this level, one chance is enough.
“I’ve seen games where too many chances were wasted. At Barcelona, that can’t happen. That’s what makes the difference between being competitive and being champion.”
Barcelona have been guilty of missing chances this season and have also been linked with several strikers, with Lewandowski expected to leave at the end of the season.
