The Missouri Tigers are off to a 4-0 start and ranked No. 20 in the latest AP Top 25 and No. 14 in the SP+ rankings — positioning themselves well for a chance at three straight 10-win seasons for the first
time in program history. There’s still a way to go for Mizzou to become a legitimate College Football Playoff contender, but Eli Drinkwitz’s team is off to a promising start with some solid but not needle-moving wins over kansas and South Carolina.
The path for Mizzou to get into the CFP discussion is a 10-2 record. And not to get too far ahead of ourselves, but ESPN analytics currently predict the Tigers to finish with a 9-3 mark. From ESPN’s Heather Dinich, Missouri has “Work to Do” in the latest bubble watch.
At 4-0, Mizzou is two wins away from reaching bowl eligibility in every season under head coach Eli Drinkwitz — so let’s check in on the latest bowl projections for the Tigers as they enter Week 5.
ESPN: Bonagura — Liberty Bowl vs UCF. Schlabach — Liberty Bowl vs BYU

College Football Network: ReliaQuest Bowl vs Iowa
Palm Brackets: Gator Bowl vs Louisville

The Liberty Bowl leads the way, but it’s early. All outlets currently project Mizzou to land among the SEC Pool of Six bowls. Missouri has the chance to get into the CFP mix. All it takes is continuing to take care of business at home and snag a couple of road wins. A 4-0 start gives the Tigers that opportunity.
