Bayern Munich legend Philipp Lahm can look at his old club and see something he has not seen in quite a while — calm.
The reason?
Per Lahm, head coach Vincent Kompany has played a massive role in helping
make things more stable.
“He has brought calm to the club. That wasn’t the case before. There have been many coaching changes, and it’s difficult to bring calm to a club like FC Bayern. They’ve managed that now. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait and see how good the team really is when they advance in the Champions League and the knockout matches come up,” Lahm told Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Lahm is correct — like everyone else, Kompany will ultimately be judged by his wins and his trophy count. As things stand, this season could be fruitful for both.
