Barcelona have confirmed they will be without Raphinha for five weeks after he picked up an injury while on international duty with Brazil.
The CBF have confirmed that Raphinha has been ruled out of their next game and is now heading back to Barcelona for further tests and treatment.
The clube have now issued a statement that reads as follows:
“Raphinha has a right hamstring injury, as confirmed by medical tests carried out by the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) following the discomfort he experienced
during the Brazil v France match in Boston on Thursday. The player is returning to Barcelona to begin the appropriate treatment. The estimated recovery time is five weeks.”
Raphinha will therefore miss some huge games for Hansi Flick’s side. Here’s the schedule for the next five weeks.
April 4th: Atletico vs Barcelona – La Liga
April 8th: Barcelona vs Atletico – Champions League
April 11th: Barcelona vs Espanyol – La Liga
April 14th: Atletico vs Barcelona – Champions League
April 22nd: Barcelona vs Celta Vigo – La Liga
April 26th: Getafe vs Barcelona – La Liga
The news is a huge blow for Barcelona and Hansi Flick, particularly ahead of a tricky Champions League test against Diego Simeone’s side next month.
Get well soon, Raphinha.
