Four games into the 2026 NFL season, and the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks have their work cut out for them in Week 5, as the undefeated San Francisco 49ers come to town looking to strengthen their hold on first place in the NFC West.
San Francisco has already defeated both the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams, meaning a win Sunday would make the Niners 3-0 with half of their divisional matchups already in the rear view mirror. On the flip side, the Seahawks appear to be entering
a much tougher portion of their schedule, as the four teams Seattle has faced so far this year are a combined 4-12, while the 49ers, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears are a combined 13-3.
Bringing things back to Week 5, I recently joined Trevor Maeder of KMA Sports in Shenandoah, Iowa to preview the Seahawks-49ers matchup that will see the victor be in first place in the NFC West heading into Week 6 while also discussing how things are shaping up for the Hawks so far this season.

It’s a quick preview, as it’s just a hair over 11 minutes in length, meaning the entire thing can be listened to at double speed in barely five minutes. It’s Friday afternoon and nothing gets done at the office on Friday afternoon anyway, so give it a quick listen and the weekend will be a few minutes closer.
