Good morning, baseball fans!
Every week, I ask everyone to pick their San Francisco Giants Player of the Week. Last weekend, I picked Casey Schmitt, because he’d been on a bit of a tear. That published on Saturday, and you can imagine my delight in seeing that Schmitt hit yet another home run in that game as well.
So I headed on over to Baseball Reference to take a look at a slightly wider sample size. Which made me realize that Schmitt has had quite the productive month of May!
As of the time this
is being written (before Wednesday’s game), Schmitt has had 23 hits including seven home runs, with 13 runs, 15 RBI, two stolen bases, and he’s batting .288/.318/.575 over the 21 games he’s played so far in May.

What time do the Giants play today?
The Giants do not play today. Instead, they head to Denver to begin a weekend series against the Colorado Rockies tomorrow night.
