The anticipation is clearly building for Harry Kane and his family as the Bayern Munich striker waits to discover whether he will win the Ballon d’Or.

“My wife would prefer to know the result now, and my family is very nervous. I understand their [France Football] wish to keep
silent so that all the stars can attend, but from my point of view, of course I would like to know the result without having to wait all evening. There’s nothing I can do but enjoy the moment,” Kane told Goal (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
It is easy to understand why the Kane family is feeling the nerves. The England captain has established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in world football, and winning the Ballon d’Or would be a landmark moment in his career.
Kane has enjoyed tremendous success since joining Bayern Munich, delivering goals, consistency, and leadership while continuing to demonstrate that his game extends well beyond finishing chances.
Whether that is enough to secure the coveted award remains to be seen. With the result being kept secret, Kane can do little more than wait alongside his family and hope the evening ends with the ultimate individual honor.
For Bayern Munich supporters, the prospect of seeing their star striker crowned the best player in the world would be a moment worth celebrating.
