Indiana (4-0, 0-0 Big Ten) is set to take on Lindenwood (2-3, 0-0 Southland) on Thursday evening at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana.
The Hoosiers are coming off of a too-close-for-comfort
69-61 win over Incarnate Word. After opening the season on an offensive hot streak, Indiana’s shooters went cold on Sunday night and it nearly led to a loss when the Cardinals started finding some offense late in the matchup. Indiana will be looking to get right on Thursday.
The Lions are coming off of a 74-65 loss to Alabama A&M, the team Indiana opened the season against, a 98-51 win for the Hoosiers. Lindenwood has one of the least efficient offenses in the country, ranked all the way down at 349th in KenPom’s metrics.

Predictions
Lindenwood has losses to Texas Tech, Saint Louis (by 43 points) and Alabama A&M on the season. It’s all the way down at 337th in KenPom’s efficiency metrics. This is, observably and by the numbers, the worst team Indiana will have faced up to this point.
Indiana can’t have lapses in energy like it did against Incarnate Word though. The Cardinals’ defense had a pretty terrible rating going into that game and they still found ways to keep the Hoosiers from getting the ball into the basket. Beating a spread of 29 is a pretty tough task, but this should be treated like the ideal get right opportunity it is.
