No. 2 Indiana (10-0, 7-0 Big Ten) is set to take on Wisconsin (3-6, 1-5 Big Ten) on Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington, Indiana.
The Hoosiers, sitting at No. 2 in the latest College Football Playoff
rankings, remain undefeated on the season after a scare on the road in Happy Valley. Fernando Mendoza and Omar Cooper saved the day, with the Heisman candidate quarterback leading a last-minute drive down the field capped off by an improbable catch by Cooper in the back of the endzone. If anything, that proved Indiana is getting every team’s best effort, and Wisconsin will be no exception.
There’s no denying that the Luke Fickell era has been dreadful for the Badgers up to this point. Wisconsin was in very real danger of going winless in conference play before an improbable ranked win over Washington last week in a clash of the league’s UWs. Fickell will have another year to prove he can turn the program around.

Predictions
Wisconsin is pretty in the mud this season, with last week’s victory being a saving grace for a program still searching for an identity in the NIL/transfer portal era of the sport. Fickell seemed a really solid hire at the time but hasn’t lived up to expectations, not dissimilar to Archie Miller with Indiana’s men’s basketball program.
Winning a game with a leading passer being a punter, who with a single attempt through the air gained 24 yards, requires a level of grit. The Badgers haven’t given up, they’re gonna go down swinging and Indiana has to be prepared for that. If the Hoosiers remain injured on offense, this could get weird, but the defense should remain stout.
