What is the story about?
Each
practice day this season, the Kansas City Chiefs release an official injury report ahead of the next game. In Week 8, the Chiefs play the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon.
Here is the Chiefs’ second official injury report of the week, courtesy of the teams’ official websites:
Chiefs
- Cornerback Mansoor Delane (shoulder) did not participate in practice on Thursday. He was not listed on the injury report on Wednesday. Delane has had multiple instances this year dealing with a shoulder injury, whether it was during training camp or in Weeks 1 and 2.
- Wide receiver Rashee Rice (hamstring/knee) was a limited participant in practice for the second consecutive day; he hasn’t played since tweaking his hamstring in Week 4.
- Right tackle Jaylon Moore (concussion) was a full participant in practice again after missing Week 7 in concussion protocol.
- Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (knee) was a limited participant in practice after missing on Wednesday with an NIR/rest designation. He is regularly listed as a limited participant due to a lingering knee issue.
- Tight end Travis Kelce (ankle) was a limited participant in practice on Thursday after being listed as a full participant on Wednesday. He banged up his ankle in the Week 6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.
- Defensive tackle Omarr Norman-Lott (knee) was a limited participant in practice after being designated to return from the Physically Unable to Perform list on Wednesday. He was placed on the list before training camp began after tearing his ACL last season. He has a 21-day practice window before the Chiefs must sign him to the active 53-man roster.
The following players were full participants in practice on Wednesday and Thursday:
- Left tackle Kahlil Benson (ankle)
- Linebacker Nick Bolton (neck)
- Center Creed Humphrey (toe)
- Linebacker Drue Tranquill (elbow)
- Quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee)
