Per a release from the DFB, Hoffenheim goalkeeper is experiencing some nausea, so German national Julian Nagelsmann called up SC Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atubolu:
National coach Julian Nagelsmann called up Noah Atubolu on Monday for the two upcoming international matches in the World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg and Northern Ireland. The SC Freiburg goalkeeper had previously been called up on call. Atubolu is expected to arrive at the team headquarters at DFB partner adidas in Herzogenaurach
this evening. TSG Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann complained of nausea today; it is still unclear whether he will be able to train with the team on Tuesday.
FC Augsburg’s Finn Dahmen and VfB Stuttgart’s Alexander Nübel are the other goalkeepers on the roster and would be in line to start in place of Baumann if he is unable to play.
In addition to Baumann, Newcastle United striker Nick Woltemade is also hurting with a sickness:
National team player Nick Woltemade will not be joining the German national team this Monday. The striker for English Premier League club Newcastle United, who scored his third league goal for Newcastle in Sunday’s 2-0 home win over Nottingham Forest, will not travel to the national team’s team headquarters at DFB partner adidas in Herzogenaurach due to a flu infection.
