The Orioles are back on national television for the second straight game. Last night was Apple TV. Tonight, it’s FOX. Perhaps it is my own neurosis, but it feels like the O’s rarely do well on the big stage. Hopefully that isn’t the case tonight.
If this team wants to stay close in the playoff race, they need to win these games with the Rangers. The short-term schedule will only get tougher with series against the Rays and Yankees looming.
Kyle Bradish will be on the bump. His last appearance was brief
as the rain washed him out of the game against the Phillies on Sunday. He will be raring to go since he hasn’t turned in a “good” start since July 22, when he held the Red Sox to one run over six innings.
Jacob deGrom starts for Texas. That isn’t ideal for the Orioles. The veteran righty has dominated them in his career, to the tune of a 1.88 ERA over six starts. He has never taken a loss against the O’s and has piled up 46 strikeouts over 38.1 innings against them.
Go get that win, fellas!
