We are officially less than a week away from the start of Detroit Lions training camp, so we’re starting to ramp up our content for the 2026 season. Erik Schlitt has his ongoing series previewing every position ahead of training camp, and over on our YouTube page, Meko Scott and Morgan Cannon offered their own preview of camp.
In their latest video, which you can watch at the bottom of the page, they run down the top-10 players you HAVE to watch during Lions training camp. In it, they discuss the biggest
storylines, hottest camp battles, and most intriguing players as Detroit heads into another pivotal season.
For example, the fellas talk about expectations for Sam LaPorta and D.J. Reed coming off of injuries. LaPorta has been fully cleared and Reed says he has his explosiveness back, but how will they look when the pads come on. And just how important are both players to the success of the 2026 squad.
The duo also name a bunch of honorable mentions who get a brief discussion at the top of the show. Those players include: Ahmed Hassanein, Payton Turner, Anthony Lucas, Greg Dortch, and Jacob Saylors.
