Second-year guards Georgia Amoore and Sonia Citron are listed as questionable for the Washington Mystics’ Thursday night’s game against the Atlanta Dream at CareFirst Arena. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
Amoore, who is averaging 6.1 points, 4.0 assists and 0.3 steals per game, is dealing with right knee soreness after Sunday’s quadruple-overtime win over the Connecticut Sun. The 5-foot-6 guard was ruled out at halftime of Washington’s 124-123 victory after appearing to tweak her knee midway through
the second quarter. Following the injury, Amoore immediately headed to the locker room and returned after halftime in warmups but did not re-enter the game.
The injury comes just over a year after Amoore tore the ACL in the same right knee during training camp ahead of her rookie season. The No. 6 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft underwent surgery and spent the following year rehabbing the injury, causing her to miss the entire 2025 season.
Amoore returned healthy for the 2026 campaign after receiving medical clearance during training camp, making her long-awaited WNBA debut earlier this season. If Amoore is unable to go at game-time, it will be the first game she has missed this season, after starting in all 18 of Washington’s contests this season.
Citron is also listed as questionable with right knee soreness after scoring a career-high 32 points in Sunday’s quadruple-overtime win. The former No. 3 overall pick leads Washington in scoring at 18.6 points per game and averages a team-high 1.3 steals.
While both players are expected to be game-time decisions, Washington received key contributions from its young backcourt after Amoore exited Sunday’s game.
Rookie guard Alicia Florez finished with eight points, three rebounds, four assists, a career-high five steals and one block, helping the Mystics secure the one-point victory. Fellow rookie Cotie McMahon added five points, one rebound and two assists as she and Florez split time in place of Washington’s starting point guard.
If either guard is unavailable, Washington could once again lean on its rookie backcourt after Florez and McMahon provided valuable minutes in Sunday’s win.
