The Cubs dispatched the Padres in a hard-fought three-game Wild Card Series with a win Thursday at Wrigley Field.
And so, they will head to Milwaukee to begin the best-of-five National League Division Series on Saturday.
The first game of the series will, in fact, be the first game of all four Division Series.
Here is the schedule, as we know it now, for the Cubs/Brewers NLDS. All games will be televised on TBS (as well as truTV and streaming on HBO Max):
Saturday 10/4: 1:08 p.m. CT Monday 10/6: 8:08
p.m. CT Wednesday 10/8: TBD Thursday 10/9 (if necessary): TBD Saturday 10/11 (if necessary): TBD
That’s … not a whole lot of information, at least as of now. The games past Monday for all four Division Series have not been assigned game times yet, those all depend on earlier results. MLB starts both NL and AL Division Series on the same day, then insert an off day for one league to stagger the remainder of the series, to minimize the potential days with no baseball, as well as to not have four baseball games go up against NFL games on Sunday.
TBS announcers for this series will be Alex Faust and Ron Darling with reporter Lauren Jbara.
Of course, all the games will also be on 670 The Score and the Cubs radio network with Pat Hughes and Ron Coomer.
This schedule, with three off days, will also allow both managers to keep their bullpens well-rested. I would expect low-scoring games as a result.
When additional information on game times becomes available, I’ll post it here and on BCB social media.
