Lamine Yamal has shared a fitness update on social media ahead of World Cup 2026. The Barcelona star is working his way back from a hamstring injury and looks to be progressing well.
The Barcelona teenager has posted some footage on Instagram showing him at the club’s training ground and working with the ball.
The video will be a boost to Spain ahead of the World Cup. Yamal has been named in Luis de la Fuente’s squad for the tournament and is expected to be fit by the time the competition starts next
month.
Spain open up their campaign against Cape Verde on June 15th and then play group matches against Saudi Arabia and Urugay. The Spain boss has said he expects Yamal to be ready for La Roja’s first game but there’s been plenty of talk that the teenager won’t feature until the Uruguay match.
Yamal is one of eight Barcelona players in the Spain squad along with Pau Cubarsi, Joan Garcia, Eric Garcia, Pedri, Gavi, Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres.
