If you won’t fight ’em, troll ’em… right?
As you know by now, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall retained his title last weekend at UFC 321 via a “No Contest” after Ciryl Gane eye-gouged him so badly he couldn’t continue — and, naturally, everyone has had an opinion.
But the U.K. champion has also been trolled by none other than the man he sat out for almost a year in hopes of unifying the title: Jon Jones. Immediately after the fight, Jones changed his Twitter profile
picture — a duck — to a duck with an eye patch, referencing the eye poke.
Well, “Bones” one-upped himself. Before the Dirty Boxing 4 weigh-ins — which he co-owns — Jones showed up riding a horse, and guess what the horse was wearing? Yep, an eye patch.
Watch it below:
Obviously, the most ironic thing about Jones continuing to dig at Aspinall is that the former two-division champion is one of the most notorious eye pokers in UFC history — and he ducked the U.K. champion into retirement … and then un-retirement.
Nevertheless, Jones is still vying for a UFC White House spot even though UFC CEO Dana White gave “billion-to-one” odds of Jones appearing on the historic card.
Expect more mind games from “Bones” while Aspinall is recovering from still not being able to see.
