In one of the wildest transfer stories in recent memory (and there have been some doozies this summer alone), Bayern Munich and Chelsea could finally work out a deal for Nicolas Jackson.
Per The Sun’s Rahman Osman (via @iMiaSanMia), one of the reasons why the move could happen is Jackson’s desire to play for Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany:
Nicolas Jackson is determined to work with Vincent Kompany. The Belgian first tried to sign him while he was still managing Anderlecht, and Jackson is determined to finally
work with him. Kompany held a phone call with the player before the initial loan deal was agreed, and that personal touch has convinced Jackson to reject a last-minute attempt from Juventus to hijack the move. Sources close to Jackson insist his camp is fully committed and have spent the last 48 hours doing everything possible to get the deal done.
That is probably a good thing as GiveMeSport’s Ben Jacobs is reporting that deal is expected to get done (via @iMiaSanMia):
All parties are now confident of Nicolas Jackson joining Bayern.
Bayern Munich’s transfer window has been wild and the team has some, well, gaps. How can things all come together?
