Bummer.
The upcoming MVP MMA 1 card — headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano, going down next month (Sat., May 16, 2026) on Netflix — has taken a hit.
Veteran finisher Lorenz Larkin has withdrawn from his scheduled bout against former Bellator champion Jason Jackson due to a knee injury.
Larkin broke the news on social media.
“I’m sorry to all the fans, but I had to pull out … due to a knee injury,” Larkin wrote. “I’ll be rehabbing it back to 100% and will be back.”
As of now, neither Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) nor Netflix has officially announced the cancellation. It is unknown if Jackson will get a new opponent.
Larkin (27-8) hasn’t competed in MMA since 2024, though he stayed active last year with a pair of bouts in Karate Combat — including a knockout loss in his most recent outing.
Prior to that, however, “Monsoon” was on a tear.
Between 2022 and 2024, Larkin went on a vviolent run across Bellator (with a brief stop in PFL), scoring four first-round knockouts — including a devastating finish of Mukhamed Berkhamov at Bellator 290 that landed on multiple “Knockout of the Year” lists (watch highlights).
The 39-year-old owns 15 career knockout wins and remains one of the most dangerous strikers in the sport — making his withdrawal a tough loss for the undercard.
With Larkin out, here’s how the MVP MMA 1 lineup currently stands:
