Welcome back to College Football Saturday!
While your Miami Hurricanes are playing tonight in primetime at Florida State, there are PLENTY of other games to enjoy today in the meantime.
While you watch games from coast to coast today, hop in the comments and talk about the action as it happens. And, in case you needed to know who to root for in games with ACC teams, we’ve got you covered on that front:
I’ll post a couple highlight games in this window, but here’s a watchgrid graphic from TrigDraws,
a contributor with another network.

Anyways, a couple games to keep an eye on in the early window, with lines provided by our friends at FanDuel Sportsbook:
- Air Force at Navy, Noon, CBS; line: Navy -12.5 — If you’re a fan of military academy football, this is the game for you.
- Kentucky at #12 Georgia, Noon, ABC; line: Georgia -20.5 — Georgia has an Alabama problem, not just a Nick Saban problem, after losing their 8th game in the last 9 vs the Crimson Tide last week. They look to bounce back with a win against Kentucky this week.
- Wisconsin at #20 Michigan, Noon, FOX; line: Michigan -17.5 — The Wolverines look to keep a solid season going with my play cousin, Bryce Underwood, at QB. Conversely, Wisconsin’s starting QB will miss this game with injury.
- Clemson at North Carolina, Noon, ESPN; line: Clemson -14 — Preseason, this was looked at as one of the games of the year in conference. Fast forward to now, and it’s a game between a 2-2 team that’s gotten their doors blown off by the 2 teams with a pulse they’ve played, and a 1-3 team that’s 0-2 in conference. And North Carolina is the team with the better record so far. Yeah. Crazy.
- Boston College at Pitt, Noon, ACC Network; line: Pitt -6.5 — Miami ends the season at Pittsburgh, so this is another chance to do a bit of early scouting/viewing of a future opponent.
- #16 Vanderbilt at #10 Alabama, 3:30pm, ABC; line: Alabama -10.5 — Vanderbilt beating Alabama was THE upset of the year last year. Now, the undefeated Commodores travel to Tuscaloosa looking to do it again. Even off the back of beating Georgia yet-again last week, Kalen DeBoer would be well advised to not lose to Vanderbilt again this year, ranked or not.
- #19 Texas at Florida, 3:30pm, ESPN; line: Texas -7 — I enjoy watching Florida lose, and this should be another loss for the Gators. I know people are saying this is Napier’s last stand, but I’m not buying it. He’s done in that town, and Sark is looking for another notable win after the no-show performance in the opener in the Horseshoe.
- #24 Virginia at Louisville, 3:30pm, ESPN2; line: Louisville -6.5 — Miami’s next opponent (after the 2nd bye in 3 weeks cuz the ACC is run by a bunch of morons who hate the Canes) is Louisville. If you recall, Miami-Louisville was a tightly contested shootout last year, so they’re worth watching for the future. And Virginia is one of the stories of the season, after their massive upset over Florida State last Friday night.
- Syracuse at SMU, 3:30pm, ACC Network; line: SMU -17.5 — Another matchup of future Miami opponents. And, especially after last year, I’m going to delight in watching Syracuse get their teeth kicked in again. I mean, before I get to watch it in person at HRS later this season. And we’ll get to the SMU Hurricanes later as well.
There are more games, obviously, but those are the ones that stick out to me in the early window.
While there are some good to great matchups here in the early window today, the headliners are in primetime
Let’s talk some football until we’re back for the primetime headliners, especially Miami-FSU later. You WON’T want to miss those.
