Injury Notes & Roster Moves
- It was a busy week on the transaction front, as just about every day, somebody went somewhere. Things started on Monday with Tobias Myers and Easton McGee being recalled from Triple-A Nashville, as RHP Chad Patrick was optioned and RHP Grant Anderson was placed on the 15-day IL with ankle tendonitis.
- On Wednesday, the Brewers moved RHP Logan Henderson from the 15-day IL to the 60-day IL (no surprise there, given he isn’t expected to return until the playoffs at the earliest), allowing them to sign RHP Erick Fedde. Fedde, 32, has bounced around this season, spending time with the Cardinals and Braves before landing with Milwaukee. He pitched 4 1/3 solid innings in relief on Wednesday night, allowing two runs on eight hits with two strikeouts, though he took the loss as the Brewers weren’t able to put much together offensively.
- On Friday, Easton McGee was sent back to Triple-A Nashville after pitching multiple innings on both Wednesday and Thursday. LHP Rob Zastryzny was activated from the 15-day IL to replace him on the active roster.
- On Saturday, the long-awaited return of Jackson Chourio came to fruition, as he was activated from the IL after roughly a month. LHP Robert Gasser was also activated from the 60-day IL, though he was immediately optioned to Triple-A Nashville. To open up the active spot for Chourio, OF Brandon Lockridge was optioned, while the 40-man spot needed for Gasser’s reinstatement was created with IF Oliver Dunn designated for assignment.
- After Sunday’s series finale in Toronto, it was announced that former Brewer infielder Luis Urías signed a minor league deal with the Crew, as he’ll head to Triple-A Nashville this week. Wicho has bounced around between Boston, Seattle, and the Athletics since being traded at the deadline in 2023. In 96 games with the A’s this season, he hit .230/.315/.338 with eight homers, 25 RBIs, and 27 runs before being released on Thursday.
