New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson departed from Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. He is officially questionable to return.
Henderson was brought down along the sideline after converting a third-down hook-and-ladder. He then left to the locker room with the training staff.
The second-year back had previously suffered a right ankle injury late in training camp that forced him to miss the season opener.
Prior to his departure, Henderson carried the ball four times for 22 yards while
adding a 16-yard completion and 12 yards on the lateral. Rhamondre Stevenson, who scored New England’s second touchdown on Sunday, is expected to see the majority of the workload in Henderson’s absence.
Fellow running back Corey Kiner is also on the game day roster.
