State Farm Arena hosted an Atlanta Dream celebration on Saturday night.
The home team not only earned the 106-81 win over the Chicago Sky, but also had the opportunity to once again revel in a number of achievements.
Unsurprisingly, Angel Reese was the headliner, treating her former team to a 23-point and 10-rebound double-double. That extends Angel’s single-season double-double record to 31, as she also became the first player in WNBA history to reach 500 rebounds in a season. The Dream also outscored
the Sky by a game-high 26 points in Reese’s minutes.
With 13 steals on the night, the Dream broke the franchise record for steals in a single season, having now swiped 373. Rhyne Howard, the WNBA’s steals leaders, had just one, but it elevated her to third all-time in steals in team history.
Then, Isobel Borlase had her best game in a Dream uniform. The Aussie rookie scored a career-high 18 points as she went 3-for-3 from downtown, while also grabbing three steals.
